Chaminda Vaas magnificent effort in the bowling against England. When he took 4 for 39 in 2nd innings of 2nd Test at Kandy in 11-15 March 2001. Although England won the test match by 3 wickets. But Chaminda Vaas put his all efforts and energy in the match to make the test even at one stage. He picked up wicket of Mike Atherton, Marcus Trescothick, Nasser Hussain, and Alec Stewart. His efforts put in England great trouble chasing a modest target of 160. At one stage England were in great trouble reeling 97 for 5. Chaminda Vaas was the main destroy by picking 4 top orders wickets out of 5 falling wickets. It was a great and gripping contest between England and Sri Lanka.
