In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s,
Manoj Prabhakar was regular member of ODI side, who often open the bowling and
batting for India. He was such a useful allrounder who chips in batting as well
as bowling. One such moment came when India was chasing a stiff target of 269
put on by New Zealand. Major Prabhakar and Sachin Tendulkar provided a flying
start, and shared 144 runs opening partnership before Prabhakar falls. He scored
brilliant 74 runs off 95 Balls 131 Mins 7 Fours vs New Zealand 3rd Match,
Vadodara, October 28, 1994, Wills World Series. India won the match by 7
wickets.
